Hakim Mohammed Said — A True Friend of Children

Pakistan has been home to many great people, and Hakim Mohammed Said is one of the most special. He was a kind, wise, and generous man who loved children deeply and spent his whole life doing wonderful things for them.

Hakim Sahib was born on January 9, 1920, in Delhi. From a young age, he dreamed of making the world a better place, especially for children. He believed every child should get a chance to learn, stay healthy, and live a happy life. And he worked very hard to make that dream come true.

🏫 A Champion of Education

Hakim Sahib knew that education is the key to a bright future. That’s why he built schools like Hamdard Public School and Hamdard Village School in a special place called Madinat al-Hikmah, near Karachi. He wanted even the poorest children to go to school and learn new things, so they could become confident, kind, and successful people.

🏥 A Caring Heart for Children’s Health

He also cared a lot about children’s health. He knew that sick or weak children couldn’t enjoy learning or playing. So, he opened hospitals and clinics to give children the care they needed. These places helped kids grow strong and happy.

📚 A Love for Books and Stories

Hakim Sahib loved books and wanted children to love reading too. In 1954, he started a fun Urdu magazine just for kids called Hamdard Naunehal. It became super popular and is still loved by children across Pakistan! He also wrote more than 100 books for children and started the Naunehal Book Club with thousands of young readers.

🎤 A Voice for Children Everywhere

He gave children a chance to speak up through the Naunehal Assembly, where kids hold meetings and share their ideas. He even arranged the International Children’s Conferences, with help from big groups like UNESCO, UNICEF, and WHO. These events showed the world how important it is to listen to children.

🌟 A Legacy of Love and Hope

Hakim Mohammed Said didn’t just build schools or hospitals—he built hope, dreams, and opportunities for children everywhere. He treated every child like family and made sure they knew they were important.

His life teaches us that one person, with love in their heart and a strong dream, can make a huge difference. Because of Hakim Sahib, thousands of children got the chance to live better lives—and his work still continues today.
