Life isn’t always easy. Sometimes, it feels like everything is changing too fast, and we don’t understand why. We might wish things could go back to the way they were, or that we could skip over the hard parts and just be happy. But life doesn’t always work that way—and that’s okay.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be someone else? I have. I used to think it would be exciting to live someone else’s life and see the world through their eyes. But now, I understand that most people feel the same way. Everyone has their own struggles, even if we can’t always see them.
Sometimes, life feels heavy—like we’re carrying a big invisible backpack full of worries and expectations. People we care about might expect a lot from us. They want us to do well, to try hard, to be “perfect.” But no one is perfect. Not me. Not you. Not anyone.
We all make mistakes. We all have moments when we feel like we’re not good enough or when we don’t meet our own high hopes. That can hurt. But it’s also what helps us grow.
Even when life feels hard, we still try our best. Whether it’s studying for school, helping out at home, or dreaming of our future, we keep going. And that’s something to be proud of.
The truth is, everyone is trying in their own way—even grown-ups. Even famous people or rich people have struggles. Maybe they don’t have enough time for their families, or maybe they feel misunderstood. Everyone wants to be seen for who they truly are.
Sometimes people want us to be a certain way—better, stronger, smarter. They might not always listen to what we want for ourselves. That can be really tough. But it’s important to remember: your voice matters. Who you want to be matters.
Different people see things in different ways. What might feel hard or painful to you might look lucky to someone else. That’s why it’s important to be kind—to ourselves and to others. We never really know what someone else is going through.
There’s a quote I love by William Shakespeare:
“We know what we are, but not what we may be.”
It reminds me that we’re always growing. We may not know what the future holds, but we can still believe in ourselves.
Another quote that helped me during a difficult time said,
“If life were predictable, it would cease to be life, and be without flavour.”
That means that the ups and downs—the surprises—are part of what makes life meaningful.
So even when it feels like the wave you’re riding is too big or too scary, don’t let go. Keep going. You never know where it might take you.
