Have you ever felt that your mother can read your mind? Well, I truly believe my mother has magic powers—not the kind you see in fairy tales, but something even better!
She always knows when I’m not feeling well. In fact, when she takes me to the doctor, she already knows which medicine will work best for me! Sometimes I wonder, “Is she secretly a doctor?” Because whatever she says works faster than any prescription!
And guess what? So many times, she’s cooked the exact dish I was secretly craving… without me saying a word! Once, I fell in love with a dress at a store but didn’t ask for it because it was expensive. Later, my mum surprised me with the same dress! That’s not just a coincidence—that’s real-life magic!
But her magic isn’t just in the little surprises. It’s in her strength, love, and endless care. When I was little, she was always there—protecting me, hugging me when I cried, and cheering me up when I was sad. No one could ever be unkind to me or my siblings, because our mum was always there to stand up for us.
She’s been my first teacher too. I remember times when I had to finish big school assignments, and she would stay up late with me—even if it meant she had to wake up early the next morning for her chores. She never complained. She just smiled because I was able to finish my work.
As I grew older, especially in my teenage years, Mum became my best friend. She gave me advice, protected me from being fooled by others, and reminded me to always do the right thing. She’s always known how to guide me—softly, wisely, and lovingly.
Then came the lockdown—a time when the world changed. We were all stuck at home, worried and confused. But my mum? She was a superhero! With no helpers around, extra work piling up, and the whole family at home, she handled everything like a pro. She cooked, cleaned, helped us with online classes, and kept our spirits high—even when she herself was missing her own parents dearly.
I once saw her wiping away tears after a video call with my grandma—but right after that, she smiled at us and continued her day, just to keep us happy.
Even during Eid, when we couldn’t go out shopping, she searched online and bought us the perfect outfits. And though cooking had never been her favorite thing, she started making the yummiest dishes—just to make our days brighter.
Today, I know that my mother doesn’t need fancy gifts from me. She only wants to see one thing: kindness and goodness in me and my siblings. She has spent her life teaching us to be honest, loving, helpful, and thankful.
So here’s what I promise today:
🌼 I will become the kind of person my mum dreams I will be.
🌼 I will always speak the truth and care for my loved ones.
🌼 I will help those in need without waiting.
🌼 I will be gentle with animals and protect nature.
🌼 And most of all, I will thank Allah for all His blessings and follow the right path.
Dear Mum, you truly are a miracle in our lives.
And I hope, one day, I’ll make you as proud of me as I am of you.
Ameen!
